New Calvino
How exciting! I just found out about a new Italo Calvino book, collecting autobiographical writings and interviews. It will be published in March by Pantheon (here is a link to the book at Powell's.) The first review of it, by Jeannette Winterson, was published in today's Times of London. I'm especially interested in the titular essay and the letter-diary from New York. Time to preorder! i have yet to pick up a calvino book because i cannot decide whether i should read it in english or german.
whichever language you choose, i recommend starting with numbers in the dark, a great collection of fables and short stories.
